Eden Hazard has thrown down the gauntlet to Chelsea’s owners after another disappointing season to ‘spend big or he’s gone.’
Finishing in fifth, five points behind Liverpool (and a whopping 30 points behind Manchester City), Stamford Bridge has been stagnant and enough is enough according to Hazard.
“I’m taking my time. I’m waiting for new players next season. We will see,” he told AP.
“I want players, I want to win the Premier League next season … a lot of things. “It is something big, so I will need to think of a lot of things.”
Chelsea has recently offered Hazard a new massive £300,000 a week contract, to keep him at the Blues. But Hazard quickly put that deal on ice making it clear that whilst he’d like to stay at Chelsea, if no progress is made in the form of some new signings, he’ll happily consider taking his services elsewhere.
Real Madrid are reportedly circling for the Belgian’s services (because they so desperately need another gun midfielder) with an open chequebook.
