Watford completely annihilated Chelsea FC overnight in a surprising 4-1 victory at Vicarage Road.

It’s left a big question mark over the future of Blues manager Antonio Conte.

Tiemoue Bakayoko was sent off after just half an hour of play. Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher described his performance as one of the worst you will see all season.

Chelsea fans may argue that both of the Frenchman’s yellow cards were as soft as anything. What you can’t deny is the midfielders sloppy first touch.

Perhaps the pressure of filling departed Nemanja Matic’ shoes is becoming too much for the 23 year old. Especially when you’re signed for £40 million.

Credit must be given to Watford, who were clinical in front of goal. The Hornets scored three goals in the space of just seven minutes. The win puts them in 11th place, and three points clear of West Ham, Brighton and Crystal Palace.

London rivals Tottenham are breathing down Chelsea’s back just one point behind. Any more slip ups could cause Chelsea to lose their Champions League spot.

Chelsea have now received seven red cards in all competitions this season. The highest amount of send offs in the Premier League.
