Yes you heard that right. Lionel Messi is opening up his very own amusement park in China.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is idolized as a god in Asia, similar to our last article describing Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s set to launch his 80,000 square metre attraction in Nankin, south east China. THE MESSI EXPERIENCE PARK will feature a range of indoor and outdoor attractions. Fans will be able to see the world in Messi’s eyes with his virtual reality activities, and participate in different games around the park.

The park, which is set to open in early 2019, will use virtual and augmented reality technologies to offer football training clinics, entertainment activities and displays of Messi’s career highlights.

Audiovisual group Mediapro will co-run the adventure park with Chinese TV company Phoenix Group.
