Super Mario Balotelli is back! The prolific Italian striker has turned his career around, after a horror spell playing for Liverpool in England.

Now the 26 year old looks like the player many predicted he would grow into. Balotelli is leading the charge for Nice’s title fight against Monaco and PSG. The once troubled star has scored 13 goals in 23 total games this season. 11 of those goals came from 16 starts!

Nice currently sit four points behind league leaders Monaco, and one point behind PSG. They are renowned for transforming troubled players into stars. PSG star Hatem Ben Arfa is a perfect example of Nice’s strong club philosophy.

He’s still as unpredictable as ever, scoring one game and getting a red card the next. However, Balotelli seems to have matured according to his team-mates.  Team-mate Yoan Cardinale says Balotelli will re-sign for Nice if the right price is paid.

“He told me that he would like to stay,” Cardinale told RMC.

“At Nice there are all the right ingredients for him to stay.”

“He is very joyful here. He sees that a great footballing project is being put in place. So, why not?”

Aside from that, I know that it will be very difficult because from a salary perspective, a player like Balotelli, he is expensive. But if the club is capable of meeting his demands, he will stay very happily.”
