It’s been 15 years since Brazilian Ronaldo dominated the 2002 World Cup whilst also fielding the worst haircut in history. How do we know its bad? Well people are still talking about it and chatting mad sh** about it today.

Ronaldo led Brazil to a record fifth World Cup and scored eight goals in the process. The Golden Shoe winner scored twice against Germany in the final to equal Pele’s World Cup goals record.

After 15 long years, Ronaldo has revealed the reason behind the dreadful cut.

“My groin was hurting. I was only at 60 per cent. So I shaved my head.”

“Everybody was only talking about my injury.”

“When I arrived in training with this haircut everybody stopped talking about the injury.”

Ronaldo won the World Player of the Year award in December 2002, and dedicated the accolade to his medical team which helped him recover.

Quiet amazing for a player who hardly played for two years after rupturing his cruciate ligament in his right knee.
