Lincoln City FC has become the first non-league side to reach the FA Cup Quarter Finals in 103 years.
Talk about David v Goliath! The Imps created upset of the year defeating Premier League side Burnley 1-0 away from home. It’s the first time in Lincoln’s 133 year history that they have reached the Quarter Finals of the prestigious competition.
The last team to achieve a feat like this was Queen’s Park Rangers back in 1914.
To make this win even more sweet, Lincoln scored the winner in the dying minutes of the game. Lincoln goalscorer Sean Raggett has forever written himself into the history books.
“Football at our level is not romantic and this moment in the limelight is special,” Imps boss Danny Cowley said.
“It was a one in 100 chance and thankfully we got that opportunity.”
Just how far can they go?

- Round 2: Lincoln City 3 – 2 Oldham
