Liverpool legend and Sky Sports football pundit Jamie Carragher believes Paul Pogba is ‘one to watch’ for the rest of the season.
The £89m world record signing returned to Manchester United after four consecutive Serie A title with Juventus. The French midfielder was heavily scrutinized for his poor form early in the season.
In the last month, Pogba has been a dictator in United’s midfield. Pogba now has three goals and two assists in the Premier League, taking United to within touching distance of fourth placed Arsenal.
“I was critical of him earlier on in the season,” he told Sky Sports.
“I think they’ve now found the right fit for him. ‘Players to play alongside him in that three-man midfield’. He’s starting to look the real deal.”
“I think United are playing a lot better and I expect over the next few months we could be talking about him as one of the best players in the Premier League.
“He’s not quite there yet, when you’re thinking of maybe (Eden) Hazard in terms of going for PFA Player of the Year, but I think over the next few months he could be right in the running.”
