Manchester United have become the latest European club to drop their new home kit for the 2016/17 season. In partnership with adidas, the new United shirt features two halves with different shades of red, divided by a honeycomb design dividing each side down the middle of the shirt.

Unveiled by the whole United team on their pre-season trip to China; the new shirt design was inspired by the two-tone Newton Heath kit of 1878.

“It was inspired by the worker bee which appears in the crest and originates from the Industrial Revolution, in which Manchester played a significant role. The strong work ethic of the city is also part of the club’s DNA, instilled in the players whenever they pull on the red shirt and represent the club.”
