Italian legend Luca Toni scored for Hellas Verona F.C. in his farewell match against top side Juventus
Italy’s old boys proved that they have still got it, as Francesco Totti and Luca Toni starred for their clubs this weekend.
Juventus may have won their fifth consecutive Scudetto, but it could not stop Toni from causing the upset of the season against his former side.
In his farewell game, Toni scored a cheeky ‘panenka’ penalty for his side Verona, who sit at the very bottom of the Serie A table.
The striker is a World Cup winner, Serie A, Bundesliga, and has been awarded with a large number of individual honours.
Francesco Totti has been on fire for A.S Roma as of late. In his 600th game, Totti came on and made an immediate impact, assisting Pjanic for Roma’s third goal.
Judging by his recent form, there is no reason for Totti to hang up the boots, but will Roma give him a contract extension?
With one game remaining, Roma will need a miracle to jump Napoli and into second place.
