There’s some weird and wacky stories out there about how lower league and local football clubs raise the funds needed to operate. But none’s probably more unique than that of AFC Wimbledon.

Author and YouTuber, John Green, took his passion for football to the next level, using the advertising revenue from his FIFA videos to donate towards English League Two club; AFC Wimbledon.

Green originally purchased the sponsorship rights to Wimbledon’s playing shorts before a year later, deciding to increase his investment and get the naming rights for his own stand at their home stadium; Kingsmeadow.

Once again, it just goes to show the how far football fans will go to support their team.
