Real Madrid began their ICC preparation this morning, training
under closed doors at Aami Park this morning.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale felt the full effects of Melbourne’s
notorious unpredictable chilly weather, as the temperature dropped to 9 degrees
at 11am this morning.

Despite only landing in Melbourne last night, new manager
Rafa Benitez was determined to put his players to the test.

Real Madrid also began their second training session of the
day at 5pm today at Aami Park.

Victorian sports minister John Eren believes the ICC
tournament will create an economic boom in Melbourne.

“We are very humbled to have biggest team in the world
here,” Eren said.

“Our reputation will be enhanced with your presence; Real
Madrid is the biggest football club in the world.”

Real Madrid third vice-president Pedro Lopez Jimenez acknowledged
Melbourne’s love for sport, football and its ability to host world class

“We are proud of being a universal club and so proud of
having fans everywhere in the world,” he said.

“It’s our first time in Australia and Melbourne is the right
place to come. Melbourne was the host of the Olympics in 1956, practically
