You get the impression that to be a professional football player it takes time, training, a laser focus mentality, determination, a good team and of course, the right diet – right? I mean there’s no way that Ronaldo gets so chizzled by downing a HSP on his way home from the Santiago Bernabeu, every weekend?
Leo Messi (yes, the Leo Messi), the superhuman he is, has proven sports science wrong as he recently revealed his diet was full of junk food. Seriously.
In an interview recently, Messi recalled to La Cornisa TV;
“I ate badly for many years: chocolates, fizzy drinks, and everything. That is what made me throw up during games.”
And this was just a few years ago in 2014 – when he was (and still is) at the top of his game, further proving how good he really is.
But if you haven’t noticed the vomiting recently, well that’s because the last three seasons he’s got his act together changing it all up.
“Now I look after myself better. I eat fish, meat, salads. Everything is organised and taken care of,” he said.
