Chelsea have marked their return to Champions League football in spectacular fashion, thrashing FK Qarabag 6-0.

Antonio Conte would have liked the way his new signings Davide Zappacosta and Tiemoue Bakayoko went about things as they both scored a goal each.

Zappacosta making his first appearance for the Blues scored an absolute stunner to make it 2-0 within half an hour of play.

Zappacosta collected the ball and ran down the right hand side of the pitch, had a cheeky look inside the 18 yard box and crossed it in that direction but the ball sailed over the goalkeeper and up went a huge roar from the Stamford Bridge faithful.

Bakayoko goal wasn’t as spectacular as his teammate but it was still important. Bakayoko smashed the ball into the net to mark his first goal for the club from a fit again Eden Hazard.

Pedro, César  Azpilicueta, and Michy Batshuayi all chipped in with one goal each.

Chelsea fans will be hoping for a repeat performance on Sunday when they took on London rival Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
