Diego Costa is done at Chelsea.
The star Spanish striker has alienated himself from the squad and wants out of Stamford Bridge immediately. The 28-year-old has already confirmed that he will travel to Spain in hope of signing a contract with former club Atletico Madrid.
“My future is already defined,” Costa told Globoesporte.
“I have to return to Atletico Madrid next season. There’s a problem because Chelsea don’t want to set me free.”
“But I think the situation will soon be resolved now that I will return to Spain.”
There is a catch. Atletico is unable to sign anyone until January due to a transfer ban put in place by FIFA. Manager Antonio Conte also won’t let the front-man leave for less than £40m.
Costa’s has failed to report to training resulting in a breach of contract. It would be a sad end if Chelsea decides to take action and sue the double Premier League winning star.
