Manchester United in hot water over doping control breach

Hold your horses – this is no Lance Armstrong, Tour de France, doping scandal.

Man United are in a bit of trouble with UEFA – after it’s been alleged overnight that they breached anti-doping regulations, by its stars refusing to take drug tests after their Europa League final victory.

The men in question; Phil Jones and Daley Blind, have been slapped with fines for refusing doping tests after United’s 2 – 0 victory over Ajax. UEFA alleges that Jones was guilty of “insulting and directing abuse” at an official – and Blind for not reporting immediately to a doping control station.

IRL terms: ‘Jones and Blind were obviously jacked about their win and wanted to keep celebrating with their teammates, get their drink on, and weren’t happy when instead they got told they had to go pee in a cup.’

Both have resulted in fines of €5,000 and Jones given a suspension of two UEFA games. But it’s more than likely the pair will appear their fines.
