Mario Balotelli puts football before fame at Nice

Who would have thought!

Against all odds, Mario Balotelli has come good. Whilst many wrote him off back in his Manchester City days, ‘Super Mario’ is a new man at Nice. He scored 15 goals last season and is loving life on the beautiful French coast.

Balotelli is ready to cut his wage, in order to continue his red hot form in Ligue 1. The 26 year old has reformed from villain to hero. We can’t wait to see what he brings next season, and who knows? Maybe he’s an outside chance to make the Italy squad for the 2018 World Cup.

“I will only say two or three things on Mario,” said president Jean-Pierre Rivereon .

“The first is that the player wants to stay in Nice. Afterwards, he’s ready to make financial efforts to continue to work with us.”
