Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has denied allegations of tax fraud.
The claims were made by Spanish Authorities, who filed a lawsuit on the Portuguese forward yesterday.
Spanish Authorities claim Ronaldo fooled the tax office of 14.7m euros between 2011 and 2014.
“There is no tax evasion scheme”, said a statement made by Ronaldo’s representing agency Gestifute.
“There has never been any hiding nor any intention to hide anything.”
Whether this scandal goes to trial is up to a judge, but it seems to be another repeat of the Lionel Messi tax saga.
Messi had a 21-month jail sentence handed down, although he’s never served any jail time.
