Paul Pogba has undoubtedly reinvigorated the Manchester United dressing room.
His personality is infectious, and close friend and team-mate Jesse Lingard says it’s been the catalyst for United’s success this season.
“He’s settled back in,” Lingard told Sky Sports.
“He’s a fun vibrant lad and gives a lot of good energy off.”
“Especially in the changing room.”
Pogba and Lingard came up through the United ranks as youngsters. The close friends were separated when Pogba was shipped off to Turin to play for Juventus.
He came back with four Serie A titles, and with an expensive contract. Some may say he hasn’t lived up to his £89m price tag. Maybe they haven’t seen these stats…
Pogba’s Premier League by numbers: 💪
✅ 4 assists
✅ 5 goals
✅ 6 woodwork hits
✅ 53 tackles won
✅ 57 chances created
✅ 109 dribbles
✅ 2,177 passes
“He can make the atmosphere very good before games and really get you on it. It’s a great atmosphere.
Since Pogba’s return, United have won the English League Cup and the Europa League. Although they finished sixth in the Premier League, their European triumph means they qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
