We woke up to horrible news this morning, after hearing Cheick Tiote had collapsed and passed away during a training session in China.
The 30 year old only signed for his new team Bejiing Enterprises this year in February.
“We cannot say any more at the moment,” said Tiote’s agent Emanuele Palladino.
“We request that his family’s privacy be respected at this difficult time”.
“We ask for all your prayers.”
The Ivorian played in a World Cup and also made 161 appearances for Premier League side Newcastle United. He was known as a strong midfielder, a creator, and a leader on the field.
RIP Cheick Tiote 😢
