Traditional rivals South Melbourne and Heidelberg United will play at Aami Park for the very first time!
The 58 year old rivalry has seen huge turnouts at both Lakeside Stadium and Olympic Park (Village). Now we are set to see a historic blockbuster at Aami Park.
Brazil is starting to become a good luck charm for South Melbourne. South have been the talk of the town this week, after beginning negotiations to sign Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos as manager if accepted into the A-League. Some more heavy artillery added to South’s arsenal in their push for an A-League licence.
News then broke that South’s home game against Heidelberg would be rescheduled for Aami Park at 6:30pm on the 11th of June. The reason? South will be hosting Brazil’s National team at Lakeside Stadium, as they prepare to take on our own Socceroos and neighboring rivals Argentina.
Heidelberg currently lead the National Premier League (VIC), with South on their tails just three points behind. Lets hope both sets of fans turn up in full voice!
