Manchester United stars bring Christmas cheer to sick children in hospital

Manchester United’s senior squad have taken time to visit kids in hospitals around Manchester.

Fan favourites Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic visited Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (RMCH), giving the perfect Christmas gift for any young football fan.

United are just one of many Premier League clubs that make the effort to put a smile on children’s faces before Christmas.

The visits are arranged by Manchester United Foundation, who supply United-themed presents for Children.

“Today we are just trying to make the kids smile and make them happy because they are having a hard time,” said Pogba on United’s official website.

“We are lucky to be in good health so for us to be able to give the kids a little smile is special.”

Young five year old Cameron couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw his idols standing before him.

“I’ve met Anthony Martial and Marouane Fellaini and it’s been amazing,” he said.

“It’s just unbelievable them coming to see me. I was star-struck. It was really unexpected and it’s good of them to take time out to come and see people.”
