Former English giants Leeds United have made it to the EFL quarter finals after defeating Norwich (4-3) in a penalty shootout.
Leeds were forced to come back from behind twice in normal time and extra time.
Goalkeeper Marco Silvestri was the hero for Leeds, saving three penalties before Ronaldo Vieira scored the winners.
Last time Leeds won the English League Cup was in 1968. Leeds haven’t returned to the Premier League since financial troubles forced them into administration in May 2007. Their fall from grace is still one that is talked about on a regular basis. The Peacocks currently sit in 10th in the English Championship, three points shy off a playoff spot.
