Montreal Impact striker Didier Drogba found himself on the receiving end of a rowdy confrontation with two New York Red Bulls fans.

The former Chelsea legend approached the fans in the stands in an attempt to calm them down. Eastern Conference leaders New York won the game 1-0, clinching a spot in the MLS play-offs.

“There were two fans who were showing their enthusiasm a little too much,” Drogba told TVA Sports.

“They crossed the line a bit, that’s all.”
