Ahead of the impending A-League 2016/17 season, the FFA today hinted at their new marketing campaign to promote the league on social media. A banner was released featuring an image of Melbourne City’s new star forward, Tim Cahill and was followed with the slogan ‘You’ve gotta have a team.’

“The Hyundai A-League is the ultimate expression of the passion, excitement and belonging that is unique to football. If you love the game, you’ve gotta have a team,” an statement on the FFA website read.
But already, some A-League fans have voiced their disapproval of the campaign and created their own versions.
