Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku says he needs to be more of a ‘serial killer’, after scoring a hat-trick in Everton’s demolition of Sunderland last night.
The 23 year old broke a 11 match goal drought, after scoring three goals in 11 minutes. Everton rose to third place after knocking off the Black Cats, and continue their unbeaten run to four games.
Lukaku’s goal drought and unhappiness has been linked with a return move to Chelsea. Despite the British Tabloid rumours, Lukaku looked deadly in front of goal last night.
“I think I could have had five really. I need to be more of a serial killer if I want to help the team achieve it’s objective,” Lukaku told Sky Sports.
“We are in a good position in the league and we have to keep going.”
