Melbourne City revealed their new home kit for the 2016/17 season today. Produced by NIKE, the home kit features the white shirt with blue finishing around the sleeves.

For the first time, City will play in their traditional Sky Blue, after previous attempts in 2014 were impeded by Sydney FC.

Marquee signing Tim Cahill was also presented with his number 17 home kit during his first training session.

“I think this is going to give me a good challenge personally; I’ve always been that player who needs that pressure, that next kick,” Cahill told Fox Sports.

“I think here with the professional set-up and the way it is … my total focus is to make this club the best it can be and make the players around me better…”

Midfielder Luke Brattan models the new kit

Melbourne publication The Herald Sun reports that City, are targeting a 45 percent membership growth. City could reach a high of 14,500 members or more.
