Western Sydney Wanderers confirmed their latest double signings Jacob Melling and Jack Clisby from Melbourne City.
The young duo share 100 games between them, providing added depth for Tony Popovic’s side.
Both players will be playing out of the Wanderland until 2018.
24 year old Jack Clisby is looking forward to working under Popovic, after stints with Perth Glory and Melbourne City.
The young centre back plays with experience beyond his years. Clisby is a versatile defender who can sit at centre back or push to left back if needed.
“I feel I can learn a lot under Tony Popovic,” Clisby said in a WSW press release.
“The Wanderers are a very competitive club and I would like to take my game to the next level and contribute to that.”
Jacob Melling is a hardworking midfielder, establishing himself at Melbourne City. The 21 year old has an impeccable work-rate, and plays aggressively with his heart on his sleeve.
“Playing against the Wanderers is very intimidating – especially in Western Sydney,” said Melling. To play in that atmosphere, with that fan group behind me will be an incredible experience.
“I’m going to put my body on the line for the team and I’m going to give my all for this club.”
