England manager Roy Hodgson has rewarded Jamie Vardy with a start against Slovakia, after the striker came off the bench to score against Wales in Lens.
Harry Kane, Wayne Rooney, Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker and Raheem Sterling have all been dropped for tonight’s game.
Hodgson’s bold move will pay off as long as The Three Lions produce a point or more. A loss could see them finish finish third, and in a vulnerable position for third place qualification.
Jack Wilshere, Ryan Bertrand, Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Henderson, Nathaniel Clyne and Jamie Vardy have all been brought in.
It only took Vardy three touches of the ball to find the back of the net. On the other hand Sterling and Alli and Kane failed to create any impact against Wales.
It is make or break for England, as they hope to avoid another early exit in a major football tournament.
