Pogba and Griezmann left out of France starting XI | EURO 2016

French coach Didier Deschamps has left Paul Pogba and Antoine Griezmann out of France’s starting lineup against Albania later tonight.

Pogba was subbed off early in the second half in France’s opening game against Romania, after failing to create any impact in the midfield. Griezmann will also warm the bench, with Manchester United striker Anthony Martial stepping in as his replacement.

Both players were criticized heavily by the local French media and fans on social media. Moussa Sissoko has recently defended the two players, and has urged the French media to lay off the two players.

Coman will replace Pogba, after a positive performance coming off the bench against Romania in the opening game.

The French system might take some getting used to for Pogba, who is normally entitled to a free reign in the midfield for club side Juventus.
