Little under six months ago, Jai Ingham was playing in Victoria’s National Premier League for Hume City.

Fast forward to today, and the 23 year old has had the dream start for Melbourne Victory in the Asian Champions League.

Its the type of thing you only see in movies, a young up and comer scores the opening goal against a team that has players that earn over $500,000 per week.

The winger scored the opener for the Victory in their 2-1 victory over Shanghai SIPG, and his goal proved that he wasn’t overwhelmed by the occasion.

After clean cut back onto his right, Ingham hit low and past the keeper

Yan Junling

, sending the home crowd into jubilation.
