TURF Quarterly #1

From the Socceroos’ surge on the world stage to the energetic supporters culture that has come to define the A-League, the beautiful game has well and truly broken through in Australia.

Aussie rules, cricket, and rugby’s two codes may still be national obsessions, but football has carved out its own fertile acres in the sporting landscape down under.

At the forefront of this movement are a host of creative outlets, including our friends at THE TURF, who have just launched a new quarterly magazine.

‘We wanted to provide Australian football a different angle, something fresh which we believe represents the growing presence of youth football culture in Australia,’ creator Jacob Arnott said.

‘Supporters groups are growing, attendances are rising and there’s now a general buzz around football that there never used to be before. The exciting thing is that the game in Australia is still growing and we all expect bigger and better things to come.’
