Newcastle Utd stun Spurs | MUNDIAL MORNINGS

MONDAY 14 DECEMBER 2015

Newcastle United caused the second upset in the Premier League
this week, coming from behind to defeat Tottenham FC 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

Spurs were all over the Magpies in the first half, as Eric
Dier’s header put the home side ahead. 14 games unbeaten and everything looked rosy
for Spurs, but Newcastle weren’t disheartened.

Fiery youngster Aleksander Mitrovic has his head in the
game, scoring the equaliser before setting up Ayoze Perez for the winner,
deep into injury time.

Newcastle may just be starting to believe in themselves
again, after previously only scoring three goals in the last seven away games.

The win pushes the Geordies out of the relegation zone and
one point above Chelsea.

 DON’T MESS WITH THE KLOPP

Liverpool managed to snatch a point against West Brom Albion
at home, although the game wasn’t for the faint hearted.

Henderson opened the scoring in the first 20 minutes, after
a header from Lallana saw the captain open at the back post to finish the
chance.

Simon Mignolet had another goalkeeping blunder, after coughing
up the ball from a corner into the path of Craig Dawson who made no mistake
from close range.

Liverpool were struggling defending set pieces, and it
showed as Jonas Olsson headed the ball home for a goal, that looked certain to
be the winner.

Things started to get heated on and off the field, after
Gardner through himself into Lovren. The defender was stretchered off and was
left on crutches.

The two managers Jurgen Klopp and Tony Pulis exchanged in a
war of words, resulting in Klopp’s refusal to shake the hand of the West Brom
manager.

It all looked lost for Liverpool, but Divock Origi had the
final word, scoring a dramatic 95th minute equaliser. Klopp celebrated in front
of the Kopp and in front of the West Brom bench.

The Reds manager refused to shake hands with Pulis because it
was not a friendly game.

“I don’t have the biggest talent to remember things like
this. I only talk about football. I wanted to go to my team. Do with this
[story] what you want. We had some words in the game and sometimes it takes
more than a few seconds to cool down. Usually I shake hands. It was not a
friendly game.”
