Manchester United have been eliminated from the Champions
League after losing 3-2 to Wolfsburg.

The Red Devils got off to a perfect start, taking the lead
through Anthony Martial in the tenth minute.

The high didn’t last long as Wolfsburg equalised not even
five minutes later. Centre back Ronaldo Naldo latched onto an intelligent through
ball from a free kick, volleying the ball home for Wolfsburg. Sharing the name
with Cristiano Ronaldo was probably enough to haunt the United fans.

Wolfsburg hit the front at the half hour mark, as young gun Julian
Draxler eased his way passed the United defence to tee up Adelino Vieirinha for
a tap in.

As things looked bleak for Manchester, they were finally
gifted with some luck. Marouane Fellaini’s header stunned Wolfsburg goalkeeper Diego
Benaglio, as he came out of goal in a panic. The confusion caused his
defender Josuha Guilavogui to head the ball into this own net. United were back
in the tie.

It’s crazy how fast emotions can change in football, and
United fans were the perfect example tonight.

Two minutes after equalising, a corner found the head of Ronaldo
Naldo who put the ball passed De Gea for his second goal of the game.

United had been knocked out of the Champions League, and
sent into the Europa League. The spotlight will be on Louis van Gaal once
again, after a poor run of performances by the English giants.

The Red Devils have only made it through to the quarter
finals once in the last five years 2013–14 and funnily enough, the
manager was David Moyes.

REAL MADRID RECORD BREAKERS

Real Madrid smashed Malmö 8-0, in an absolute humiliation at
the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

As usual, the world’s best player Cristiano Ronaldo was in
the spotlight scoring four goals to break yet another record.

Ronaldo is the first player to score more than ten goals in
the Champions League group stages (11). The stat marks as his fifth consecutive
year where he has scored more than ten goals in the Champions League
competition.

Madrid were so good, they had two players with hat-tricks.
Karim Benzema clinched his hat-trick in the 74th minute, while
Ronaldo went one better scoring his fourth goal by the 58th minute.
