SPURS THE REAL DEAL? |MUNDIAL MORNINGS

MONDAY 23 NOVEMBER 2015

Since slipping up to Manchester United on match day one,
Tottenham haven’t put a foot wrong and sit only four points from the top of the
table.

Tottenham eased passed West Ham last night, defeating the
Hammers 4-1 at White Hart Lane. In past seasons Spurs have been a good side but
never a great side.

They now might just have all the ingredients for the perfect
recipe.

Their attacking threat is a danger to any side, which
features Delle Alli, Lamela and Eriksen in the midfield, to Harry Kane and Son
Heung-Min up front.

Tottenham has gone 12 games undefeated and look like they
could continue that run, going in as favourites against Chelsea, West Brom and
Newcastle.

 JAMIE VARDY’s WORLD

There is nothing Jamie Vardy cannot do this season. The
Leicester City striker has equalled Ruud van Nistelrooy’s 2003 record, for the
most consecutive goals scored (10 games).

It’s funny to think Leicester sat at the very bottom of the
table this time last season, and now sit at the top.

Vardy isn’t your traditional world class striker. Most of
the best have an undeniable skill which separates them from the rest of the
pack. In this case, Vardy is your typical old school English striker, who knows
where the back of the net is.

Perhaps this is why he is so exciting, you know that when he
gets the ball, he will make use of it nine times out of 10.

The English striker can be the outright record holder if he
can score this weekend at home against Manchester United.

THE FRENCH CONNECTION

In a gesture of good will, the Premier League has played the
French national anthem before all games this week.

The football rivalry is great between these two historic
clubs, but this week has been one of support from the English.

La Marseillaise rang through the grounds in honour of the
120 people that died in the terror attacks last weekend.

Many countries, including Australia, are on high alert which
has affected certain international football matches this week.
