Rooney’s relief after rescuing Red Devils |  MUNDIAL MORNINGS

WEDNESDAY 04 NOVEMBER 2015

Wayne Rooney has finally put the ball into the back of the
net, scoring the winner in Manchester United’s 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow in the
Champions League.

The Red Devils have been less than convincing as of late,
and have struggled to score goals in all leagues. The tension from United
supporters in the stands was apparent, as fans continued to let their feelings
known to manager Louis van Gaal.

Despite all the fan frustration, United sit in first place
in their Champions League group and four points from top spot in the Premier
League.

Rooney’s goal puts him equal with Denis Law on 237 goals, as
the highest all-time scorer for United.

 SKY BLUES BOO UEFA

Manchester City fans boo’d the Champions League anthem this
morning, in protest after UEFA launched disciplinary action against the club.

UEFA fined the club under FIFA fair play rules and are still
yet to reimburse City supporters for last season’s botch up.

Manchester City was forced to play behind closed doors against
CSKA Moscow, although fans had already bought flight tickets for the game.

Despite their frustrations, The Sky Blues defeated Sevilla
3-1 away from home this morning. The win places them in top spot of their Champions’
League group, ahead of Juventus and Sevilla.
