Horror for United and Luke Shaw | MUNDIAL MORNINGS

WEDNESDAY 16 SEPTEMBER 2015

Manchester United quite possibly has had the worst Champions
League start possible.

The Red devils went down 2-1 to PSV Eindhoven, and lost full
back Luke Shaw to a broken leg.

Shaw made a darting run into the box and was set to score,
before being crunched by Hector Moreno. Moreno made a disgusting two footed challenge
above the ground, which cause Shaw a double fracture to his leg.

United manager Louis Vaan Gaal will be fuming, after Moreno’s
tackle wasn’t even given as a foul, or a card. To rub even more salt into the
wounds, Moreno scored the equalizer, which led to the 2-1 victory for PSV.

The only good United story to come out of this game was
Depay’s return to his former club. Memphis scored the opener, although it wasn’t
enough to get United over the line.

RONALDO RECORD BREAKER

Cristiano Ronaldo overtook Lionel Messi this morning, as the
top scorer in Champions League history.

The Portugese superstar scored a hat-trick in Real Madrid’s
4-0 demolition of Shakhtar Donetsk today.

Ronaldo is breaking records left, right and center after becoming
Real Madrid’s all-time top scorer only a few days ago.

The World Player of the Year currently sits on 80 goals, and
is set to pass the 100 goal tally with ease.

JUVENTUS DOWN SOUR SKY BLUES

It hasn’t been a great morning for either side of Manchester, after City went down to Juventus 1-2.

Despite Juve’s poor domestic league form, they managed to do
what no Premier League team has done yet, putting a stop to their 11 game winning
streak.

Technically, Manchester City didn’t even score a proper goal
as Giorgio Chiellini handed the Sky Blues the lead with an own goal.

Goals from Mandzukic and Morata provided the two knockout
blows to down City in front of a disappointed crowd at Etihad Stadium.
