Bosnian farewells Sky Blues

FRIDAY 14 AUGUST 2015

Bosnian striker Eden
Dzeko has departed ways with beloved club Manchester City, after joining AS
Roma on a season loan.

The deal is set to be
permanent if “certain conditions” are met.

 Despite Dzeko’s constant
struggle to make the first team, he managed to net 72 goals in 117 games, and
won five trophies in the process.

“After four-and-a-half years, filled with your chants
for me and my love for you, the time has come to say goodbye,” Dzeko’s letter
posted on twitter .

“I came here because I’ve been following Roma since
(his international team-mate Miralem) Pjanic joined. They have a big
project for the future with some fantastic players.”

"I have spent some of the best moments of my career at
Manchester City, moments that I will never forget.

“Thank you for everything.”

JOSE ENRIQUE LEFT OUT TO DRY

Liverpool defenderJose
Enrique has spoken out against his manager Brendan Rodgers, claiming to have
been alienated by him and the club.

29 year old Spaniard is
in the final year of his contract and wants to stay at the club.

A serious knee injury in
2013 saw Enrique take a dip in form, which led to lack of game time at LFC.

Enrique feels Mario
Balotelli and Fabio Borini has also been dealt in the same manner.

“I’m in a difficult position,” Enrique said. “The club have
alienated Balotelli, Borini and me. I have a year left on my contract and I
imagine the club will want to sell, but I still want to stay and fight as I
always have. I will not give up. I know from experience that football changes
from day to night.”

WANCHOPE RESIGNS AS COSTA RICA MANAGER

Former Manchester City
player Paolo Wanchope has resigned from the Costa Rican national team after a
violent incident with a match steward.

The bust up occurred at
the national teams Under 23- Olympic qualifier on Tuesday.

Wanchope reacted poorly after
a steward prevented him from entering the pitch, despite having the correct
accreditation.

Following a meeting, the manager Wanchope has decided to
step aside,“ said a Costa Rica statement.

"He denied me access even though I had accreditation.
Then I decided to open the gate myself. Then I was pushed by the steward who
was there and I pushed him back. You could all see that.”

“I have always been known for defending my country, and
behaving in the best possible way. We’re human beings and I reacted in a way
that was wrong.”

GOALKEEPER SCORES GOAL OF THE SEASON

We may only be into match week one, but we can’t see anyone
beating this absolute stunner.

ADO Den Haag saved a point after scoring an amazing 94th
minute equalizer against current champions Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven.

What makes this story even better is that the goal scorer
was goalkeeper Martin Hansen, who managed to score from an outrageous back
heel.

Hansen is still in shock, after his goal went viral around
the world.

The goalkeeper told his club’s in-house TV channel he was
“just trying to get the ball towards goal to see what would happen”.

It’s going to take something absolutely magical to top this
goal, which is why we think this will go down as the best goal all season.
