Sky Blues win sets the bar high | MUNDIAL MORNINGS

Tuesday 11 AUGUST 2015

Manchester City started their Premier League campaign in
convincing fashion, dominating West Brom 3-0.

Last night’s performance from the Sky Blues was a key
reminder of their supremacy when all systems are go.

Yaya Toure was back to his very best, firing home City’s
first goal in the opening 10 minutes. The Ivorian was a revitalized form of his
old self, scoring his second 15 minutes later.

David Silva was once again the creative maestro, conducting
all the attacking plays through the midfield. Kompany also stamped his
authority at the back, scoring the third and final sealer for City.

The win puts the Sky Blues in good stead for this weekend’s
clash against current champions Chelsea FC.

NEW YORK DERBY SCENES

Despite the fact New York City FC haven’t even completed
their first full season, it didn’t stop fans trying to replicate a scene out of
Green Street Hooligans.

The local derby between New York City FC and New York Red
Bulls began off the field, as two groups of supporters brawled on the streets
before the game.

A bystander New York City fan claimed many of the fans
involved were English.

New York Red Bulls had the last laugh, knocking off the
newcomers 2-0.

PAOK BID FOR YOUNG SOCCEROO TERRY ANTONIS

Advanced talks between PAOK and Sydney FC are well under
way, after the Greek club placed a $500,000 proposal for 21 year old Terry
Antonis.

Antonis has longed for a permanent move to Europe, after
complications with FIFA rules restricted him from making the big move overseas.

His transfer will be a massive loss for manager Graham
Arnold  and Sydney FC.

MLS GOAL CELEBRATION GOES HORRIBLY WRONG

The Seattle Sounders began proceedings against Los Angeles
Galaxy in perfect fashion, scoring in the first minute of the game.

Chad Barrett found himself on the end of a picture perfect
cross, scoring against 2nd place Galaxy.

The 30 year old former LA Galaxy player, celebrated like a
mad man before embarrassingly pulling his hamstring.

Talk about feeling the highs and lows of football in a
matter of seconds!
