MANCHESTER DERBY PREVIEW / MUNDIAL MORNINGS

Recent history suggests this Manchester Derby will be a
walkover for the Sky Blues although their current form says otherwise…

The clash at Old Trafford this Sunday will mark the 165th
Manchester Derby and is a must win game for both sides who sit a point apart in
the League table.

The derby has been a nightmare for United fans as of late, with
the Red Devils losing the past four consecutive meetings.

Funnily enough, our team at THE TURF has placed Manchester
United as hot favourites for the upcoming game.

Manchester City has displayed poor form falling short in the
last four away games. Their recent loss to Crystal Palace has put manager Manuel
Pellegrini under the pump. Could this be the last straw for the Chilean? Hindsight

In retrospect, Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has
his side in season best form. The Dutch manager has managed to bring his team
to life, winning the last five league games. Captain and Wayne Rooney has come
out explained the importance of this game especially.

“We want to give United fans something to smile about when
they go to work on Monday morning, we want them to be the ones to be able to
give out the banter to Manchester City fans at work,” the 29-year-old
told MUFCTV.

“I think it’s a very important game for Manchester United
and Manchester City…for the fans and, for me, it’s a massive game of pride.”

Bragging rights are on the line in this game, as well as a permanent
UEFA Champions League spot up for grabs.

My prediction: Manchester United 2 Manchester City 1

NAPOLI PRESIDENT THREATENS TO PUNISH PLAYERS

Napoli’s Coppa Italia
semi-final loss to Lazio on Wednesday has President Aurelio De Laurentiis
breathing fire.

Consequentially, Laurentiis has threatened to send his
players on an “unlimited training camp if form doesn’t improve.

Napoli has also failed to win in their last five Serie A
games.

“"I want discipline. I have never failed to pay
salaries or even delayed them,“ Di Laurentiis said.

"I have spent 386m euros (£282m) on the purchase of
players in 10 years and I demand commitment.” (BBC)

Despite winning the Coppa Italia and finishing third last
season, failure to qualify for Champions League could result in the axe for
manager Rafael Benitez.

Napoli still have nine games to turn their misfortunes
around.

FOOTBALLS WEIRD AND
WACKY..

Mario Balotelli has attempted to silence critics with an Instagram
photo after Robbie Savage claimed he was “Pathetic”. The Italian failed to play
their FA Cup Quarter final due to illness and posted the photo writing “‘Nothing
stop me to watch my team winning (at least you know the real reason why I am
out)”

A footballing training session in North Vancouver has turned
into a viral video after an Eagle appeared on the field pulling off some skills
with the ball.

Everybody loves a pitch invasion, especially when it’s your
team on the winning end. Although fans from French team Auxerre may have jumped
the gun a bit too early in their win over Guingamp.

Oddly enough, this was only the semifinal so who knows what’s
in store if they can overcome PSG in the French Cup final.

Thank God it’s Friday! Prepare the popcorn and get ready for
some massive football fixtures this weekend.
