THE CUP – Story of the Asian Cup FINAL

Doesn’t it all make sense now?

Ange Postecoglou sits on his throne (or office overlooking Sydney) admiring the shinny new gold badge in the centre of his shirt and patting himself on the back, a job well done. If the past month of football taught us anything, is that he’s the right man for the job and through his turnover of fresh talent has sufficiently laid the ground work for the next Socceroo generation.

No longer do we rely on the Tim Cahills and Mark Brescianos to pull Australia out of tough spot, but now can look to Robbie Kruse, Matthew Leckie, Jason Davidson and who can’t forget, Massimo Lunongo to stand up and deliver in a Green & Gold shirt.

The Final had it all.

Drama. Controversy. Excitement. A Plot Twist. And at the end Australia were Champions.

TURF’s photographer Aleksandar Jason headed to Sydney to capture the Asian Cup Final and we’re overjoyed with the result. The TURF team is pumped to be able to present to you ‘THE CUP’; a photography documentary capturing all the drama and excitement of Australia’s first Asian Cup victory.

Enjoy your football.
